Chow’s Table and House of Cards with the support from the Yallingup Rural Bush Fire Brigade will be hosting, ‘To the Rescue’ a fundraising event to support our local firefighting community. This night to be remembered will be on Saturday 3rd August 2024 from 6 to 11pm.
Incredible food from some of the South West’s best chefs, wine from World class Margaret River producers, delicious local craft beer and the musical talents from local artists will all be donated to help secure the final funds for building the new Yallingup Rural Bush Fire Brigade Station.
It’s a HUGE line up, one to rarely be seen (or ever be seen) to create one menu for the night. Chefs from restaurants or food producers; Chow’s Table, The Parker Group (Brendan Pratt), Lagoon Yallingup, Vasse Felix, Wills Domain, Glenarty Road, Yarri, Caves House Hotel, Amelia Park Restaurant, Supper Road, Cape Lodge, Maison Laissiaille, Bugertron, Jibbas Hot Sauce with all donate their time and expertise for the evenings menu and join the following wine and beer producers who are donating their exceptional drinks on the bar; House of Cards Winery, Eagle Bay Brewing Co., Wildhop beer, Marq Wines, Cape Naturaliste Wines, Swings Yallingup, Aravina Estate, 8 Waves Brewing, Deepwoods Estate, Dream Bird Wines, Cheeky Monkey Beer, Windance Estate, Clairault Wines, Goon Tycoons, Nocturne (many even jumping behind the bar for the night to donate there hand serving!). Local musicians and DJ’s have also donated their time to entertain guests; Brayden Sibbald Music, DJ Many B, Simo & Edlin, and Olive Mae.
Chow’s Table and House of Cards Winery, along with lives, homes, habitats and many other businesses in the region have been saved multiple times by the efforts of the volunteer firefighters and emergency services, our businesses (Chow’s Table and House of Cards Winery) in particular being evacuated 3 times over the years. December 2021 was the last time our businesses were evacuated due to a close bushfire, the YRVBB actually set up their HQ to manage the bushfire in our carpark. The last fire to put us on watch and act was also the first fire emergency of the entire state for the 23/24 bushfire season, this happened in October 2023.
The YRVBB within their catchment has 2500 homes and 110 square kms to manage, however as fire doesn’t discriminate so they are also called/deployed to assist with fires across the Northern cape areas, city of Busselton areas and anywhere in the South West where needed, some of the team are also deployed to fires in the hills of Perth and other regional areas around the state due to their experience with bush fires. The YRVBB work mostly in ungazetted areas (those mostly rural and bush based), which can be some of the scariest areas to manage due to the amount of bushland there is available to fuel fires.
So the team does a huge job in protecting homes and one of WA’s most loved regional destinations. Everyone benefits from the services from these volunteers.
Ticket Price is $120 +bf per person, this includes a glass of wine or beer on arrival, all the food you can eat and entertainment. The bar will be open for you to purchase an amazing selection of drinks and auction prizes available to try your luck at throughout the night!
100% of all profits raised will be donated to the Yallingup Rural Bush Fire Brigade.
With the help of donations, ticket and bar sales, our goal is to raise $30 000. Any funds surplus to the needs of the new station will be distributed to other local fire brigade branches.
This is an 18+ event. Please note due to the nature of the event we can only cater for vegetarians, gluten free and those with nut allergies.
